The audit report of Pakistan Super League has been presented in the Public Accounts Committee. The report revealed financial irregularities of Rs 2.77 billion in PSL 1 and 2. The franchises of Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmai and Quetta Gladiators were also auctioned at low price.
A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly was held in Islamabad on Wednesday. Committee member Iqbal Mohammad revealed massive scams in PSL-5. Accused of doing and non-cooperation.
Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani expressed his ignorance about the audit matters and the members of the committee got angry and said that if you do not know the issues then why did you come to the committee? Special audit reports of PSL 1 and 2 were presented in the committee. Financial irregularities amounting to Rs. 2.77 billion were revealed in the organization. The PCB suffered an annual loss of 11 1.1 million. The chairman of the PCB called it a requirement of difficult circumstances. Ehsan Mani said that we are bringing our own digital platform on television and for the first time in the history of Pakistan all the matches will be shown.
Ehsan Mani said that he did not invite any foreign player to Pakistan by paying money. The matter of meeting the players with the Prime Minister is being looked into by the PCB disciplinary committee.
